I started working in 1978 with Local 261. Prior to working with Local 261, I worked for Cahill for 5 years; Plant Construction for 20 years; Hathaway Dinwiddie Construction; Bechtel Construction and Marchetti Construction.

In 2005, I was appointed to the Local 261 Executive Board; and in 2007, I was again appointed to the Local 261 Executive Board and hired as a Business Representative. The following year (2008), I was elected as a Delegate to the NCDC District Council. Thereafter, in 2001 and 2014, I was elected as Vice President/Executive Board of Local 261 and Delegate to the NCDC District Council.

In addition to my appointments in Northern California, I was elected in 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016 as a Delegate to the LIUNA International Convention.
